Description

Rich, dark, and irresistibly soft, these Black Cocoa Cookies deliver a deep chocolate flavor with a striking black color — perfect for true chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup black cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.

4. Whisk flour, black cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.

5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; fold in chocolate chips.

6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets.

7. Bake 9–10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.

8. Cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before baking.

Chill dough for thicker cookies.
