Description

Cheesy Beef Nachos loaded with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings. Perfect for parties, game nights, or casual family meals, these nachos are quick, flavorful, and indulgent.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound (450g) ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 bag tortilla chips (1012 oz / 280–340g)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

½ cup diced tomatoes

½ cup sliced jalapeños

¼ cup chopped green onions

¼ cup sliced black olives

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

4. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning with ¼ cup water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.

5. Arrange half of the tortilla chips on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish.

6. Evenly spread half of the cooked beef over the chips.

7. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top.

8. Repeat layers with remaining chips, beef, and cheese.

9. Add sliced jalapeños, diced tomatoes, and olives on top.

10. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted.

11. Remove from oven and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream.

12. Serve immediately with salsa on the side.

Notes

Substitute ground beef with shredded chicken or plant-based meat for variation.

Add black beans or corn for extra texture and nutrition.

Make individual servings in ramekins for parties or gatherings.

Use pepper jack cheese for a spicier kick.

For extra crispiness, broil nachos for 1–2 minutes after baking.
