Description
Baked Salmon With Mayonnaise is a simple yet elegant dish where creamy mayo, Parmesan, and garlic create a flavorful topping that keeps the salmon tender and moist.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley or dill, for garnish
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Pat salmon dry and season lightly with salt and pepper; place skin-side down on the sheet.
3. In a small bowl whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, and paprika until smooth.
4. Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
5. Bake for 15–18 minutes, depending on thickness, until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
6. Remove from oven, let rest 2–3 minutes, garnish with parsley or dill and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Use light mayonnaise or substitute half Greek yogurt for a tangier, lighter topping.
For a crunchy finish, sprinkle breadcrumbs or crushed crackers over the mayo before baking.
Works well with cod or halibut if you prefer a white fish alternative.
