Description
This Apple Butter Biscuit Breakfast Bake is a cozy, sweet, and simple breakfast casserole layered with warm apple butter and flaky biscuits. Perfect for weekends, brunches, or holidays.
Ingredients
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup apple butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup brown sugar
Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts for topping
Optional: maple syrup for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Cut biscuits into quarters and layer evenly in the prepared baking dish.
3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Drizzle over the biscuits.
4. Spoon apple butter evenly over the biscuit layer. Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
5. Add optional chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
6. Bake 25–30 minutes until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
7. Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
Notes
You can prepare this dish the night before and refrigerate overnight. Add diced apples, pears, or a touch of vanilla for extra sweetness. Serve with whipped cream or yogurt.
