Description

Crispy, tender, and flavorful, this air fryer asparagus is a quick and healthy side dish. Perfect for weeknights, parties, or meal prep, it cooks in just minutes with minimal oil.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Grated Parmesan or toasted almonds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

2. Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.

3. Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

4. Cook for 7–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until asparagus is tender and lightly browned.

5. Remove asparagus and drizzle with lemon juice, if desired.

6. Sprinkle with Parmesan or toasted almonds and serve immediately.

Notes

Thicker asparagus may need a few extra minutes of cooking.

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes.

Add fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for aromatic flavor.

Serve cold for salads or warm as a side.

Brush lightly with balsamic glaze for a sweet-savory finish.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days.
